Recently I had such a horrible experience with two tow truck
drivers after my vehicle broke down -- they seemed SO lacking in care and
concern for me as a person. One of them was extremely GLIB . I was expecting to
ride in the truck to the repair shop-- otherwise I would have to walk four
miles-- but the guy said "Sorry.
It's policy. You can't." I said "You say the word "sorry"
but your voice shows NO tone of being sorry or empathetic whatsoever. You are
glib" . and we exchanged a few words and I ended up cancelling this
tow truck.
The other tow truck driver arrived and did a decent job hooking it
up and I was allowed to ride in the truck to the 1st destination (He actually
drove me twice on two separate days-- somehow he randomly got selected by my
roadside service twice _) . But then he started driving and turned on some
"gangsta rap" extremely loud-- and this had ALL the horrible
profanity and abusive language (F word, S Word, N Word, B Word, etc ) --
including language degrading women. It was very sickening to my soul,
especially at a time when I am stressed out already due to car problems.
After I got to my 1st destination on Saturday, I was unable to get
a decent price for a fuel pump replacement (they wanted over $1000) so I had to
wait until Monday to find a different shop --and was able to get a place that
would do the job for a more reasonable $600 -- that's when the Glib tow truck
drive showed up and after I cancelled him, the "gangster rap" tow
truck driver returned. I couldn't believe it. This was like a bad movie. I had
to drive with this guy again. And once again he started playing the exact same
music-- like a bad rerun. Doesn't he ever listen to other music ? or a talk
show ? etc. What a terrible life. I felt sorry and sad for him and would have
liked to reach him with the Gospel but I knew it was impossible to even begin
such a conversation. I DID pray as we drove and also managed to get him to turn
down the volume by faking that I was talking on the phone.
Several days later after the car was repaird and I was able to get
back to my normal routine I realized that these tow truck drivers live a lonely
life-- all day every day randomly going to different locations -- and people in
different circumstances-- and sadly they become hardened and uncaring even if
they may manage to say a few of the right things that's on the paper they're
provided by their manager to say.
As a missionary and Christian evangelist I realized there needs to
be ministry for tow truck drivers-- and all truck drivers for that matter but I
am thinking in particular about the tow truck drivers-- probably mostly men--
I've never encountered a female tow truck driver. So I will be trying to find a
way to reach tow truck drivers with this blog -- to let them know about the love
of Jesus Christ-- and invite them to become a Christian and join a fellowship
of believers near where they are -- and I ask any of you random persons out
there who may encounter this blog-- if you are a Christian to also pray for tow
truck drivers. And if you are a tow truck driver--I encourage you to accept
Christ-- find a local church-- talk to a pastor-- you save people every day
from difficult circumstances but you CANNOT save yourself in the end. If you do
NOT accept Christ before you die-- it will NOT go well for you. If you DO
accept Christ, you can be assured of eternal life in heavenly paradise with
fellow believers and God Himself: The Father, Son, & Holy Spirit. And if
you become a Christian you will not only be able to save people on the road
from their difficult circumstance, you will ALSO be able to save their souls or
at least you will be a NICER person and make it a MORE pleasant day for
everybody.
